Bobbie Steinbach*, a recent recipient of a 2016 Fox Fellowship Resident Actor Grant for Distinguished Achievement, and a generous Individual Artist grant from an Actors’ Shakespeare Project donor, has been a longtime member of Boston’s very special theatre community as an actor, cabaret performer, teacher and director.

Old Lady (George’s mother) in Sunday in the Park with George and Madame Armfeldt in A Little Night Music at Huntington Theatre Company, Mrs. Candor in School for Scandal and Oenone in ASP’s Phedre, Stella Livingston in Light up the Sky at the Lyric Stage Company, Zofia in New Repertory Theatre’s Tongue of a Bird, The Fool in Henry VIII, a role created for her by Shakespeare and Company Founding Artistic Director Tina Packer, and the Bawd in Pericles, with Actors’ Shakespeare Project, Mrs. Potter (a role originally played by Lionel Barrymore) in It’s a Wonderful Life at Stoneham Theatre, and The Fakus, a noir with CentaStage (IRNE Award Best New Play).
