RESIDENCY 36: JANUARY 14-FEBRUARY 15, 2019 Rachel Eliza Griffiths explores relationships and rhythms between text and images. Her identities as poet, writer, painter, videographer, and photographer inform her practice and experimentation across multiple dimensions and genres. She constantly stitches, collapses, collages, and ruptures self-perception. She centers the notion and vehicle of the “lyric” at the core of her compositions. Often, her work blurs issues of narrative, body, memory, identity, trauma, and intimacy. Rachel Eliza lives and works in New York, NY.
